Growing signs of a healthy Oklahoma economy prompted Summit Bank, an Oklahoma commercial bank chartered in 2002, to expand its Oklahoma City services with the addition of a full-service office on N.W. 63rd and Classen Blvd., announced Charlie Crouse, President, Summit Bank OKC.

The new 3,500-square-foot office is located in the Columbus Square office building at 1001 N.W. 63rd Street. Summit's first Oklahoma City location began operations as a Loan Production Office in Nichols Hills Plaza in May 2008.

Charlie CrouseCharlie Crouse joined Summit Bank Tulsa in 2003, then in its second year of operations, as Vice President of Commercial Lending . Between 2003 and 2008 Crouse was a member of the team who grew the Bank from $35 million in assets to $200 million. In 2008 Crouse was tapped to lead Summit's growth plans in Oklahoma City and subsequently moved to that area to begin working with the Bank's OKC investors and start up Summit Bank's loan production office, located in Nichols Hills.

Crouse credits the expansion to the input of the Oklahoma City advisory board, whose members indicate improving local economic conditions, warranting an expanded footprint. Summit's Oklahoma City Advisory Board is comprised of Mike McDonald, Triad Energy; Ron Atchley, Atchley Resources; Gary Bridwell, Ditch Witch of Oklahoma; Zane Fleming, Eagle Drilling Fluids; and Joe Warren, Cimarron Production Company. Additionally, Steve Brown, President of Red Rock Distributing in Oklahoma City and Summit Bank Board Member, as well as Crouse and Young, sit on this Advisory Board.

Jeb CookJeb Cook joined Summit Bank in July 2008 as Sr. Vice President of Commercial Lending. Jeb has been a banker in this market for many years and has a great deal of experience and a good following in commercial and medical related businesses and professionals.

Jim Young, Chairman Long-time banker and former Oklahoma City JP Morgan Chase President Jim Young has recently joined Summit Bank OKC as its Chairman.

Young has been an Oklahoma banker his entire business career. In his 38 years of banking, he has held leadership positions as president for Bank of Oklahoma, Bank of America and Local Oklahoma Bank, in addition to JP Morgan Chase.

Young recently retired, but interested in jumping back into a fast moving, entrepreneurial setting, he found Summit's Oklahoma City growth plans very appealing. "I know the people at Summit, knew of their growth plans in commercial banking here, and I have a great deal of respect for them," he said. "It seemed to be a great mix. I'm excited about being part of helping them gain a greater foothold with the Oklahoma City business community."

Other members of the Oklahoma City office include Connie Frazier, Executive Assistant, who has been with Summit since June 2008; and new hires Tamara Belknap, Deposit Services Representative, and Keshia Brown, Deposit & Treasury Services Specialist.
